Betty Jenkins
When it comes to the dating game, The mere idea of finding a solid match for someone like Tom Jenkins is more fiction than the concept of fairy tales. Especially if said match would not only stick up to Tom but also protect him and face danger right at its face. The good news is that there’s an actual woman on Earth that checks off all of those boxes and even moreso. The only one. The bad news is that the winner is an even more unhinged over-energized version of Tom, with the added bonus of having insanely great strength and containing her personal buccaneer skin wherever she goes. The person is nobody else but Betty Jenkins.
Betty’s just as strange as one might expect for someone who adores a nut like Tom. Being an orphan for nearly all her life, with every active parent claiming her as the “Problem Child” of the set, Betty had to figure out life on her own. Understanding both how to handle both the good and bad of reality, but how to overcome danger that stands in her way. But because Betty was an oddball compared to the rest of the kids in her area, she was the main target of being bullied, with most people, especially men, seeing Betty as an overweight psycho (Her weight is actually nothing but a heavy excess of baby fat). Everyone pushed her aside… except Tom, who loved the idea of a human being comfortable around him all the time. This made Betty’s heart play music as she had always viewed Tom as both her closest friend, but as her romantic partner.
Now, Betty isn't just some bland love interest for Tom. Just like Tom, Betty has a hunger for adventure, but even with even more peril and action to it (Not Batman kinds of action of course). She adores teasing and messing with her enemies by either pretending to be terrified or in need of mercy, or by playing up her more “attractive” side and putting her foes in a daze… right before striking. The most notable kind of adventure for Betty is her strong passion for Pirates (or anything in the ocean). Starting at a very young age, she always thought of pirates as her getaway from being bullied and teased. Nothing makes her more thrilled than sailing across the many seas in her many buccaneer outfits, sword-fighting and blowing up enemy ships, and (if she was in the role of captain), ordering punishments and executions to those who cross her. Even when she’s on dry land, she ends up casually having pirate slang in her daily speech, with the Cornish dialect being included.
When she isn't busy in peril and adventure, she’s usually the go-to babysitter of Loman and Dillas, a pair of mischievous siblings who live far down in town. She really only does it for the pay, but it IS good practice for her when being a mother figure to Tom Jr. (being his future sister-in-law, of course).
For most people, Betty’s just as, if not, more pixelated than her partner in crime. But to Betty, her only goal out of it is to get the most out of her life… that is, if she doesn't end up in prison…
again.
